Ryan's First Wagon Ride

We took a walk down to the park the other day and decided to give Ryan his first wagon ride. Ryan stayed in the wagon the entire time - even while we played softball with Megan and Declan. The downside is that he tossed Rob's baseball glove out somewhere on the return walk, and we had to backtrack to find it. Here's a picture of the little king.

Housework

After breakfast this morning, Megan decided that she would do the dishes. We're wondering how long this will last. Notice Bailey's stunned disbelief and double-take in the first picture. Of course, Ryan was interested in what was going on and offered his help too. So...it started with cleaning floors. Now, we're at the dishes. Could we dare hope that bathrooms could be next?

The Chair

Megan, Declan, and Ryan have all had their one year old pictures taken with a chair that belonged to my Grandmother and Grandfather. I remember playing with that chair when I was little. In fact, some people call it "Maureen's Chair" because I may have been a tad bit possessive of it in the old days:-). After my Grandmother died, I brought the chair home with me. It's what I think of when I remember going to their house.
I also have some pictures of my Dad when he was younger. In one of them, he is with his sister and brother, and his brother is sitting in a little chair. At the bottom of this post, there's a comment field. Let me know if you think it's the same chair. Maybe one of the three people in the picture on the bottom will know the answer. I'm not sure it's the same chair, but at least it may have been "my chair's" predecessor.

Playing in the Park

We've had great weather here. Even more rare, we have no soccer games, t-ball games, practices, or girl scout events this weekend. We're completely open. Either that, or we've forgotten something. We took a family walk today ending up at the park for some play time. Here's what it looked like.

Pictures

Now that I am back from a painfully long business trip to the Boston area, we took Ryan in for his one year pictures - just a couple of weeks late. The session went great. All three kids were in a great mood, and we got some good shots of Ryan by himself and all three kids together.
Here's a couple of my favorite pictures from today! My Dad asked me why we couldn't afford to put the kids in shoes after he saw this picture of all three of them. :-) Also,we'll be taking Ryan for a haircut soon. He's getting pretty shaggy.
